ALBANY LAW MIDDLING SORT OF SCHOOL, STUDY SAYS.(CAPITAL REGION)

Academics and lawyers deem Albany Law School a mediocre institutioncompared with other law schools, but its graduates are finding jobs -- albeit relatively low-paying ones -- at a rate that rivals the best.

Those are the findings of a national survey by U.S. News & World Report.

The results of the survey, which ranks graduate schools in six academic fields, including law, were published in the March 21 edition of the magazine.

The only other Capital Region school mentioned in the survey, under the category of graduate engineering schools, is Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. RPI ranked 18th …
